The Penny Farthing Bicycle was invented in 1869. This bicycle gained popularity as the large wheel located in front provided higher speeds, greater shock absorption, and a smoother ride. Highlights of this bicycle can be found throughout the unit including a hidden Half Farthing and a Quarter Farthing.
